Unfortunately, there was very little food. A number of guests had nothing to eat. Suggest charging a small breakfast fee and increasing the quantity.
Building and surrounding grounds are beautiful and have been well-maintained, considering the Mansion House was built in 1862. Rooms are comfortable, and the staff is friendly and very accommodating.
Breakfast was light with fruit, oatmeal and muffin options. Coffee and tea and juice were good as well. I felt it was a good value fir the price we paid for the room.
We especially liked the history associated with the mansion house, the tour and the library, plus an onsite laundry. Kudos to the attentive staff and tour guide! It's also within easy driving distance of the Capitol Arts Festival in Rome, which we attended. We plan to return at some point.
I loved the beautiful and charming mansion house and how it has been kept true to what it looked like in the 19th century. Very much enjoyed the museum esp the art of Jessie Kinsley.
The historic significance was great. Room was large and bathroom too. Had good TV, frig. View out of window was great. A special stay.
We had three rooms, each beautifully decorated differently. The grounds were well kept and very pretty.
So much history here; walking through the mansion’s museum area was amazing.
We loved the breakfast that was served. We enjoyed the self guided tour. The mansion is beautiful and we were so happy to have found this beautiful place to stay overnight. We loved that it was in a small quiet neighborhood and not in a busy city.
Very interesting history of the mansion! Some reviews mention breakfast to be lacking; it’s not what you get at a “breakfast included” chain hotel, however it is sufficient. Coffee, juice, a baked good of your choice, yogurt, oatmeal and granola.
